Armed with burning ambition, a few picnic chairs and a phone, Glen Hammond and Gary Lee opened the doors of hammondlee estate agents. This humble beginning, located on the corner of Market Place in Dereham, saw early success with customers who were overwhelmed by our positive attitude to estate agency. This rapidly projected us to the leading independent estate agent within 12 months.

Our attitude was simple; “care, do more and be dependable”. To this very day the values are engrained in our everyday operation.

They say what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger; well hammondlee has battled tough economic climates, aggressive competition and growth pains. Solely headed by Glen Hammond and supported by his young family, we now have 3 successful branches throughout Norfolk, located in bustling market places along the A11 and A47 corridors.

Glen’s ambitious growth in 2016 saw the acquisition of House Revolution and Stratfords estate agency brands. In 2017 he also launched Dragonfly Lettings, an ARLA registered company based in Cringleford, to cater for the combined lettings needs.

Will you need an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC)? Well, an EPC is needed whenever a property is built, sold or rented. There are however, some exemptions with certain buildings that do not need an EPC. Please click here for the gov.uk website for further information.

What is an EPC? Quite simply, it is a certificate that gives a property an energy efficiency rating from A (most efficient) to G (least efficient) and is valid for 10 years. It contains information about a property’s energy use and typical energy costs. It also provides recommendations about how to reduce energy use and save money.

When buying a property, it is always recommended that you undertake a survey. This should determine if your purchase represents suitable value and highlight any concerns regarding condition.
